President of Albania Bajram Begaj has described today’s verdict by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers against the four former KLA leaders as deeply saddening.
In a statement, Begaj said that the decision to appeal the verdict demonstrates determination, integrity and resilience.
“Deep sadness over today’s decision. The determination to appeal the verdict is a strong sign of integrity and resilience. For Albanians, no one and nothing can tarnish the KLA. Freedom has a name,” Begaj said.
Begaj’s statement comes after the Specialist Chambers handed down sentences against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi.
