The activist group “Asnjë cent më shumë” (“Not a Cent More”), which opposes the 15% hike in electricity prices, has announced another protest for today at 12:00 PM in Zahir Pajaziti Square, reports Rks News.
Recently, the head of the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE), Petrit Pepaj, addressed the reasons behind the increase, stating that the main factor is the rising cost of electricity on international markets.
“A 15% increase is expected. The main reason is the price surge on electricity exchanges—this is the primary factor. There are no other significant adjustments that influenced this 15% rise,” said Pepaj, adding that the institution will respect every expression of public dissatisfaction.
