The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Dimal Basha, has called on former opposition parties to vote for Glauk Konjufca as the country’s next Prime Minister.
Following the nomination of Konjufca by Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), Basha emphasized the urgency of forming a new government, highlighting the importance of approving the 2026 state budget.
“We have the state budget, the budgets of three municipalities, and over 700 employees waiting to receive their salaries. For that, we need a functioning Assembly and government. I hope and believe that the opposition will come to its senses and vote for Glauk Konjufca,” Basha stated after the General Council meeting of LVV.
It should be noted that the Kosovo Assembly was constituted on October 10, eight months after the national elections held on February 9.
