As part of the preparations ahead of Election Day, the Central Election Commission (CEC) has commenced the distribution of election materials for the early elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, scheduled to take place on June 7.
Among the materials being distributed are ballot papers, final voter lists, and official stamps. These materials are being delivered to the Municipal Counting Centers and will be transported to polling stations on Sunday prior to the start of voting.
The distribution process is being conducted under the escort of the Kosovo Police, while the security and safeguarding of the materials at these centers will also be ensured by police officers.
According to the CEC’s decision, a total of 1,778,300 ballot papers have been printed for these elections. Of these, 1,605,000 are designated for regular polling stations, 19,450 for conditional voting, 13,500 as reserve ballots, and 3,500 for voters with special needs.
As in previous elections, the number of printed ballots is lower than the total number of eligible voters. This practice is based on analyses of voter turnout in past electoral processes.
During the past few days, other election materials, including ballot boxes, voting booths, and additional supporting equipment, have been distributed across all 38 municipalities of Kosovo. Information technology equipment, including polling station cameras, computers, monitors, and other supporting devices, has also been transported.
In addition, all election forms and documentation have been received and verified. Sensitive election materials, such as ballot papers, final voter lists, official stamps, and related materials, are being distributed to municipalities across Kosovo on June 6 under the escort of the Kosovo Police.
