The Central Election Commission (KQZ) Chairman, Kreshnik Radoniqi, announced that on Saturday the final results for 35 out of 38 municipalities will be published following the local elections held on October 12.

Radoniqi noted that Prishtina, Junik, and Mamusha have not yet completed all procedures for final result announcements due to pending appeals being reviewed by the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (PZAP).

“The Central Election Commission has communicated with PZAP and received confirmation that there are no active appeals regarding mayoral elections in most municipalities, except for Prishtina, Junik, and Mamusha,” Radoniqi said.

He added: “These appeals are still under review, therefore today the CEC will announce the election results for the remaining 35 municipalities. The final results for the three remaining municipalities will follow once all possibilities for appeals, including at the Supreme Court, are exhausted.”

This step comes after the completion of counting and verification processes in most municipalities, while citizens in the three pending municipalities will need to wait until all legal procedures are concluded.
