Croatia supports the entry of Kosovo and Albania into the European Union.

This is what Croatian President Zoran Milanovic said to Albanian Foreign Minister Igli Hasan, the president’s office announced.

“President Zoran Milanovic confirmed Croatia’s firm support for Albania’s entry into the European Union and reiterated his belief that the negotiations for Albania’s EU membership should have already been in the final stage, especially given the fact that the country is a member of NATO -s for 15 years”, the communiqué states.

“They also discussed the situation in South-Eastern Europe, where Milanovic confirmed that Kosovo can count on Croatia’s support for membership in the Council of Europe”, it is said further on.

Milanovic and Hasani agreed that Croatia and Albania have excellent bilateral relations, Glashrvatske.hrt.hr reports.
