The municipality of Fushë-Kosova, which is experiencing continuous population growth, has unveiled plans to build a modern square in the old part of the city, along with improvements to the city’s half-ring road to ease traffic flow.

The area under the main road “Nënë Tereza”, leading to the railway, is set to be transformed into a square that will host cultural activities and include the renovation of the House of Culture.

The mayor, Valon Prebreza, stated:

“The square we have planned is located in the old part of the city, which will be revitalized and will allow all cultural activities to take place there. This includes the renovation and functionality of the House of Culture.”

Residents have emphasized the need for a green and clean space for relaxation and walking:

  • “It is needed because Fushë-Kosova is overcrowded and needs a place with greenery,” said one resident.
  • “It is very necessary. We pensioners need a place where we can go out, walk, and where it is clean,” added another.

In addition to the square, the municipality has announced works on the city’s half-ring road to improve traffic and overall infrastructure for residents. This project aims not only to enhance the city’s appearance but also to create a cultural and social hub for the local community.
