A German mountaineer has been rescued after a serious fall in the area of Mount Luboten.

According to an official statement from the Mountain Search and Rescue Service of Kosovo Mountain Search and Rescue, an emergency call was received on May 26, 2026, from the Luboten area, where a group of hikers from various European countries was conducting a mountain activity.

During the descent, a 48-year-old German hiker, identified as P.J., slipped on the snow-covered eastern slope, falling around 500 meters in steep terrain and sustaining multiple injuries that left him unable to move.
