The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bedri Hamza, held a meeting today with Ireland’s non-resident ambassador to Kosovo, Ragnar Almqvist, discussing political developments in the country, the European integration process, and relations between Kosovo and Ireland.

Hamza expressed gratitude for Ireland’s continued support for Kosovo and praised Ireland’s priorities as the holder of the European Union Council Presidency, emphasizing that Ireland remains an inspiring model for economic development and citizens’ welfare.

The meeting also addressed the political situation following the elections and the need for the swift formation of new institutions.

Hamza stressed that the PDK supports the advancement of Western Balkan countries toward European Union membership and called for Kosovo to be granted candidate status as well.

Concluding the meeting, Hamza reiterated that Kosovo’s strategic orientation remains unchanged: full membership in NATO and the European Union.
