Italian soldiers assigned to the NATO-led KFOR Regional Command North recently carried out a live helicopter exercise in Kosovo, which included training in boarding, transport, and disembarkation operations.
According to the mission’s statement, the exercise — conducted under realistic field conditions — aimed to enhance tactical readiness, improve interoperability, and strengthen unit cohesion, all of which are crucial when operating in complex security environments.
The drill was conducted with the support of a Swiss AS-332 helicopter.
