After his meeting at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the assistance provided by the United States to Ukraine is being carried out in a mutually beneficial way, with a focus on protecting human lives.

“We’re not losing people, we’re not spending money — we’re getting paid for the ammunition and missiles. We’ve made a very good deal with NATO… but that’s not why we’re in this. We’re in this to save thousands of lives,” Trump said.

The American president emphasized that agreements with NATO allies and the structure of U.S. aid to Ukraine have been carefully designed to avoid American losses, stressing that the main goal remains saving lives and achieving peace.
