Political analyst Dušan Janjić assesses that a court process against Milan Radoičić for the armed attack in Banjska could have broader consequences for justice in the region.
According to him, the filing of an indictment and a possible conviction of Radoičić would not be limited only to this case, but could also open other unresolved cases.
“His conviction could also open other cases, including the clarification of the killing of Kosovo politician Oliver Ivanović in 2018,” Janjić stated.
Radoičić and Veselinović are mentioned in the indictment as “leaders of a criminal group” that planned the killing of Ivanović.
No indictment has been filed against them, as they are on the run.
In Serbia, the case of the killing of Oliver Ivanović remains at the preliminary investigation stage.
Janjić suggests that a full investigation of the Banjska events and criminal responsibility for the organizers could create space for reopening and deepening investigations into other sensitive cases as well. /REL
