KFOR Commander Major General Özkan Ulutaş met with Finnish Lieutenant General Kari Nisula, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations at the Finnish Defence Command, at KFOR headquarters in Film City, Prishtina, on Wednesday.
According to KFOR, the meeting focused on the security situation in Kosova and the continued role of the NATO-led mission in maintaining stability across the country.
During the meeting, Ulutaş reaffirmed KFOR’s commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosova, emphasizing that the mission will continue to operate impartially and at all times.
The KFOR commander also expressed his appreciation for Finland’s longstanding and valuable contribution to the NATO-led mission.
Finland has been among the countries contributing personnel and capabilities to KFOR, supporting the mission’s mandate to promote a secure environment and freedom of movement in Kosova.
The meeting comes amid continued attention to the security situation in the region, with KFOR maintaining regular engagement with NATO allies and international security partners.
