KFOR commander Enrico Barduani patrolled the Kosovo-Serbia administrative border in a Hungarian H145 helicopter, reinforcing NATO’s intelligence and security efforts in the region.

Prishtina, Kosovo – April 4, 2025
Today, Major General Enrico Barduani, the Commander of NATO-led KFOR, conducted an aerial patrol along the Kosovo-Serbia administrative border aboard a Hungarian H145 helicopter, part of KFOR’s Aviation Detachment.

According to a KFOR statement, the Hungarian helicopter and its crew will continue flight operations across Kosovo, enhancing the mission’s Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities.

“KFOR continues to fulfill its mandate—based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999)—to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo, ensuring freedom of movement at all times,” the statement read.

KFOR also reaffirmed its close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), as part of its role in maintaining security and stability in the region.
