The Kinetic Battalion of NATO’s Kosovo Force (KFOR), in collaboration with Hungary’s reserve kinetic battalion and FOM-D assets, conducted a training exercise aimed at implementing a defense plan for the Deçani Monastery. The exercise, which took place as part of KFOR’s ongoing peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, was designed to enhance rapid-response capabilities using both vehicles and helicopters.
The drill allowed for the improvement of KFOR’s ability to deploy quick-reaction units to respond swiftly in situations requiring intervention. In a statement, KFOR reiterated its commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo, ensuring freedom of movement at all times and impartially executing its mandate. KFOR also emphasized that it continues to work in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and EULEX to ensure stability and peace in the region.
