The Kosovo Government in Office held an electronic meeting today, where it made an important decision.
In a statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister, the government approved the request from the Ministry of Defense to send the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) contingent for a humanitarian operation in Albania.
“The Ministry of Defense, based on strategic objectives and planning for the expansion of its capacities, is prepared to support Albania with a contingent for humanitarian search and rescue operations in Qafa e Burrelit, Klos Municipality. This support is in line with our strategic partnership with friendly states, particularly Albania,” the statement reads.
The financial resources for sending the KSF contingent will be secured from Kosovo’s National Budget.
