A protest will be held on Saturday in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, at the request of students who have been blocking universities in the country for three and a half months. The students are demanding political and criminal responsibility for the deaths of 15 people caused by the collapse of a concrete shelter at the Novi Sad railway station.
The protest in Belgrade follows massive marches organized by students in Novi Sad, Kragujevac, and Niš.
For this reason, a large number of police forces and gendarmerie have been deployed in central Belgrade ahead of the student-led protest.
