Ejup Maqedonci, the acting Minister of Defense of Kosovo, expressed a deep sense of pride and nostalgia following a ceremony of honor at the U.S. Army War College, marking his return to the campus that holds a special place in his life and career.

Maqedonci emphasized that the War College, along with the Command and General Staff College, represents not only a critical period in his professional development but also a life-changing experience:

“It helped me develop leadership skills, build interpersonal relationships, and create bridges for cooperation,” he said.

Reflecting on his return after six years, Maqedonci added:

“I feel a unique sense of nostalgia, but also pride that my professional contributions and dedication in the field of defense have been recognized by the institution where I was trained for strategic leadership.”

He described the experience as a rare privilege:

“It is a rare honor to return to the place where it all began and to feel part of a great history that continues to inspire future generations of military and security leaders,” Maqedonci stated.
