President Vjosa Osmani commemorated the Meja Massacre, where 376 Albanians were brutally killed by Serbia’s genocidal regime.

Through a post on Facebook, the head of state emphasized that every person killed and every forcibly disappeared individual during the war, every dream violently interrupted, is a pledge for justice.

She wrote:
“Today, with heavy hearts, we remember the Meja Massacre, one of Kosovo’s deepest wounds. 376 innocent lives were cruelly taken by Serbia’s genocidal regime simply because they were Albanians. The wounds left by this tragedy remain open, but our pain and determination have merged to ensure the truth is never forgotten. Every person killed, every person forcibly disappeared during the war, every dream violently interrupted, is our pledge for justice.”

She continued:
On this sacred ground of sorrow, we plant the hope for a future with more justice and more dignity. The memory of the martyrs of Meja will live forever in our hearts. Glory to their lives and sacrifices!
