Hekuran Murati, MP from Vetëvendosje, has confirmed the authenticity and intent behind Albin Kurti’s letter to LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku, calling it a sincere invitation for a government coalition and a means to unblock the political stalemate.
Murati emphasized that Vetëvendosje is open to cooperation and that this move stems directly from LDK’s own demands for a political agreement before parliamentary constitution.
“The letter came after LDK representatives themselves said political agreement is necessary. We are ready, as the election winners, to find a solution. We hope other parties will also show readiness to form the institutions,” said Murati.
When asked if a similar letter would be sent to PDK leader Memli Krasniqi, Murati was doubtful:
“I don’t believe a letter will be sent to Memli Krasniqi. We are waiting for LDK’s reply first and then we’ll discuss within our party structures.”
He reiterated that Kurti’s offer aims to prevent further institutional deadlock and is a genuine effort to move the country forward.
