Petar Petkovic, has called the process of Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe an operation mainly directed against Serbia and the Serbian people, in an interview for “Kurir”.
Speaking about the Serbian opposing efforts of Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe, Petkovic said that Serbia will show its activity after the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Council of Europe, where the final vote for membership or not is supposed to take place.
“There is no doubt that the entire operation of Kosovo’s entry into this international organization is mainly directed against Serbia and the Serbian people. But many will be surprised how little Serbia fought, and with how much courage,” said Petkovic.
Among other things, he said that if the Council of Europe had decided the establishment of the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority as a condition for Kosovo’s membership, “Serbia would be able to say that some principles are still in place”.
