A billboard featuring the photographs of the four former KLA leaders currently being held in The Hague has been displayed in Times Square, New York, according to former KLA fighter Shpend Gjocaj.
In a video posted on Facebook, Gjocaj said the initiative faced significant obstacles, with several billboard operators refusing to display the image and message, reportedly because they considered the content political.
“We are here in Times Square. Last week, we made extraordinary efforts to put up, on one of the billboards, the photograph of the four KLA leaders who are being held in The Hague,” Gjocaj said.
According to Gjocaj, after being rejected by dozens of operators, an agreement was eventually reached to display the billboard on a screen above the Grand Slam store.
He said the photograph and message had to be modified because of the obstacles encountered, while the cost of displaying the billboard increased significantly.
“The price went up 20 times,” Gjocaj said, describing the billboard as the result of persistent efforts to bring the message to one of the world’s most prominent public spaces.
