Russian attacks on Ukraine have intensified since the proposal for a ceasefire was put forward, said the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, following a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Kallas also mentioned that Ukraine would soon receive the first installment of funds secured from frozen Russian assets.
It was noted that the head of the Ukrainian military, Oleksandr Shirsky, stated in an interview published today that Russia had launched a new offensive in the northeastern part of the country, pointing to a significant increase in attacks.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had warned that Russia was preparing for an assault in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
