Three people were killed and 29 others injured, including six children, following a Russian drone strike on the Desna district of Kyiv, Ukrainian capital, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko via Telegram.
Klitschko reported that seven of the injured, among them two children, have been hospitalized for treatment.
Local authorities stated that debris from several downed drones fell onto the second floor of a residential building, triggering explosions and a fire that spread to the upper floors.
Emergency crews quickly arrived at the scene and managed to contain the fire after several hours, while search operations continue to ensure that no one remains trapped under the rubble.
This attack marks one of the latest Russian air assaults on Kyiv, part of a renewed wave of strikes targeting Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure in recent weeks.
