Ivan Videnović, one of the most prominent pro-European figures in Serbia and a former professor at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Belgrade, has strongly reacted to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s decision to display the flag of Kosovo in what he describes as a propagandistic context.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Videnović compared the flag to other symbols that, according to him, have been used to manipulate public opinion.

“This flag is Vučić’s propaganda. Just like Informer, Alo, Pink, and Happy. Just like the train painted with icons that would arrive in Raška. Just like the crowded cities and facades with the slogan ‘When the army returns to Kosovo…'”, he said.

He continued by mentioning projects and symbols related to the Serbian government, which he claims represent the facade of a hollow policy.

“Just like Belgrade on the water, where painting is forbidden because the three-color painting is for poor settlements. It’s just like the tower where bad and sick people write that we are not all a lapping and genocidal people. Just like the fictitious flag celebration with Dodik. Just like those dirty plastic flies that wrapped themselves around the Presidential building. Just like the irresponsible Simo Spasić,” Videnović expressed.
