Kosovo’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding for two support funds aimed at the private sector with Luxembourg’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Xavier Bettel, stated to reporters that Luxembourg has contributed to Kosovo’s economic and social progress through various financial projects.
Bislimi said that Bettel’s visit underscores the strong partnership and excellent relations between Kosovo and Luxembourg.
He noted that today’s meetings and discussions reaffirmed the commitment to deepening relations and expanding opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
“Luxembourg has been and continues to be an unwavering supporter of Kosovo in all our state-building processes. Through various financial projects, Luxembourg has so far invested around 100 million euros in the Republic of Kosovo, thereby contributing to our economic and social progress,” Bislimi stated.
He also announced that today, Deputy Prime Minister Bettel and the Minister of MINT, Rozeta Hajdari, signed a memorandum of understanding for two funds supporting the private sector, aimed at fostering local private sector innovation and assisting in achieving sustainable development goals.
Bislimi further mentioned that in the framework of this newly signed memorandum, joint efforts continue to promote innovation within Kosovo’s private sector.
Today, Kosovo and Luxembourg signed a cooperation memorandum in the field of information technology and innovative projects, valued at 25 million euros.
