EU Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sorensen, along with KFOR Commander Enrico Barduani, visited a border crossing point between Kosovo and Serbia.

Sorensen stated that it was “impressive to see and be informed about the Joint Crossing Points,” adding that they must resume operations without delay.

“While much has been done, we must resume the remaining work without delay. It is about allowing people and goods to move freely – a cornerstone of European integration,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He also thanked KFOR for its logistical support.

Sorensen is currently in Kosovo for his first visit since assuming his position as Special Representative on February 1.

Yesterday, he met with the country’s leaders, opposition leaders, and also visited KFOR.

Sorensen will remain in Kosovo today and tomorrow, and the EU had announced that a visit to Serbia would follow after his time in Kosovo.
