The Kosovo Assembly has announced the continuation of the constitutive session, which will take place today starting at 10:00 AM. This decision was made public through a press release, emphasizing that the session will continue efforts to finalize the formation of the Assembly, a process that has faced numerous difficulties, reports Rks News.

Meanwhile, this will be the 13th attempt to form the Assembly, a process that has now been ongoing for over three months since the elections of February 9th. This is a critical moment, as political tensions and disagreements over the leadership positions in the Assembly continue to deepen.

Albulena Haxhiu, the candidate of the Vetëvendosje Movement for Speaker of the Assembly, has failed to secure the necessary majority votes for the position, despite numerous attempts. Her candidacy continues to face strong opposition from other parties, making the process of electing the Speaker of the Assembly remain delayed.

In the last sessions, the session chair, Avni Dehari, proposed the creation of a commission to organize a secret ballot. This proposal, as well as Haxhiu’s candidacy, has been opposed by other parties, as they believe this candidate does not deserve to represent the Kosovo Assembly.
