Germany’s new ambassador to Kosovo, Rainer Rudolph, has introduced himself to the people of Kosovo through a short video message, expressing his country’s continued support for Kosovo.
He said that Germany is proud to have supported an independent and sovereign Kosovo and that he will continue to promote Kosovo’s international and European integration.
“For us Germans, Kosovo is a good friend and an important partner. We have been proud to support Kosovo as an independent and sovereign nation for a long time. And I want to continue supporting Kosovo’s international integration, especially its path toward the European Union,” he said.
The new ambassador also expressed his eagerness to get to know the people and culture of Kosovo:
“Above all, I’m looking forward to meeting all of you, getting to know this beautiful country, and tasting its wonderful food,” he added.
