Police stopped a transport vehicle on the Laqiq–Sedllar road, where three cattle were found and seized during an inspection.

According to the 24-hour report of the Kosovo Police, the incident occurred on August 10 at around 8:30 p.m. Two Kosovo Albanian men were inside the van at the time.

“During the inspection of the vehicle, three cattle were found and seized, for which the two male Kosovo suspects did not possess the necessary documentation,” the report stated.

Police suspect that the cattle had been smuggled from Serbia into Kosovo.

“It is suspected that they smuggled them from the Republic of Serbia into the Republic of Kosovo,” the report further stated.

By order of the prosecutor, the cattle were confiscated, while the two suspects were released to proceed through the regular legal procedure.

The case has been initiated as “Smuggling of Goods.”
