For the second consecutive day, proceedings will continue at the Basic Court in Pristina in the trial of Dragiša Vićentijević, Jovan Vićentijević, and Igor Dimović, who are accused of involvement in the terrorist attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal, a critical piece of Kosovo’s infrastructure.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
During their previous court appearance on July 9, all three defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges against them and chose not to have the indictment read in court.
At that hearing, Special Prosecutor Bekim Kodraliu presented the prosecution’s case and submitted evidentiary materials, including video footage that, according to the prosecution, supports the allegations outlined in the indictment.
Kodraliu stated that the Special Prosecution is confident the trial will establish the defendants’ criminal responsibility. According to the prosecution, the evidence collected demonstrates that the attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal constituted a terrorist act aimed at damaging Kosovo’s critical infrastructure and endangering the security of the Republic of Kosovo.
