U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to any state or individual continuing oil trade with Iran.
In a post on his platform Truth Social, Trump declared that secondary sanctions will be imposed on anyone cooperating with Iran in this sector, threatening complete economic isolation from the United States.
This response comes following the postponement of planned nuclear talks with Iran, originally scheduled for May 3 in Rome.
“Warning: All purchases of Iranian oil or petrochemicals must stop immediately! Any country or person buying any quantity from Iran will be subject to immediate secondary sanctions and will be banned from doing business with the United States in any way, shape, or form.”
