A shocking family incident occurred this morning in the city of Prizren, where a Turkish national killed his 15-year-old daughter with a knife and seriously injured his other 11-year-old daughter and his wife.
President Vjosa Osmani reacted to the case, which was exclusively reported by Rks News.

The home must never become a crime scene!
When inside the four walls of a home – where there should be love, safety, and warmth – such a severe crime occurs, like the one today, where one daughter is killed by her father’s hand and the other daughter and mother are seriously wounded, we are no longer simply facing a family tragedy. We are facing a social drama, a strong alarm for everyone. For every society and every state!
This is not just a crime. It is a barbaric act.
I call on the justice authorities: act with the maximum force of the law, with no mercy for violence! Full clarification, maximum punishment – this is the minimum that justice requires in this case.
But justice after the tragedy is not enough. Prevention is needed! Prevention to stop the hand that strikes, to save the lives that are unprotected today.
We cannot turn a blind eye! There is no “it’s a family matter” when violence is eroding the heart of society from within.
The home must not become a place of fear. It must remain a sacred shelter!
