Unrestricted movement between Albania and Kosovo has been restored. The decision came into effect on November 1 and will remain in force until the end of February.
Border checks will only apply to vehicles with foreign license plates, while vehicles with Albanian and Kosovar plates will not be subject to inspections.
According to ABC News.al, the agreement on free movement between the two countries aims to facilitate travel, particularly during the summer season, when traffic volumes increase significantly.
Two periods have been established for unrestricted crossing between the two countries: from May 1 to September 30, and from November 1 to February 28.
In total, citizens of both countries enjoy nine months of unrestricted movement annually.
