Serbian Prime Minister, Miloš Vučević, stated today in the Serbian assembly that Serbia has not accepted the Franco-German plan.
Vučević said that Serbia has not signed the Franco-German plan and that Serbia has clearly stated that the recognition of the “so-called independence of Kosovo is unacceptable.”
“Once again, I will say it very clearly, this is being recorded with sound and also transcribed: The Republic of Serbia has not accepted the Franco-German agreement. Once again, we have not accepted the Franco-German plan.”
“We have not signed this and have made a clear statement and have clearly said: any implication, implicit or explicit, of recognizing the so-called independence of Kosovo is unacceptable. It is a red line for Serbia,” Vučević said.
In response, Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, said he asked the special envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajčak, and the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, “what more do you need to be convinced that for Serbia, there is no Basic Agreement.”
“What more do you need to be convinced that for Serbia, there is no Basic Agreement? That their participation in the dialogue is false only to avoid possible sanctions? How many more drafts of the implementation plan do we need before we reveal the truth to all Member States?” Bislimi wrote.
