A total of 29 people were receiving treatment at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana following violence during Wednesday’s protests, Albania’s Ministry of Health has announced.
According to the ministry, the injured include 23 police officers, five protesters and one bystander.
The ministry also reported that no injured individuals were currently receiving treatment at the Mother Teresa University Hospital Centre in Tirana.
The latest figures come amid escalating unrest in the Albanian capital, where demonstrators have clashed with police and targeted public institutions during protests.
