A conference titled “Kosovo in the EU” will be held at the Austrian Parliament, with the support of Andreas Minnich, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Austrian Parliament and President of the Austria–Kosovo Friendship Association.
The conference is dedicated to the 27th anniversary of NATO’s humanitarian intervention in Kosovo, which began on March 24, 1999, aiming to stop state terror and the actions of Serbian police and military forces, which at the time were committing massacres against the Albanian civilian population as part of a genocidal plan.
NATO’s intervention not only halted the planned genocide but also brought freedom, peace, and democracy to Kosovo, paving the way for the creation of a free, democratic, and independent state.
Today, Kosovo continues its path toward European integration, aiming for membership in the European Union, a process that enjoys ongoing support from Austrian partners and the state of Austria, including through the organization of this conference in the Austrian Parliament.
The conference will be held tomorrow from 13:00 to 15:00, according to the attached agenda, at the premises of the Austrian Parliament, Palais Epstein.
