Ferdonije Qerkezi lost her entire family during the Kosovo War—her husband and four sons.
For 27 years, their absence and the pain of loss have remained part of her everyday life.
Today, on the 27th anniversary of their deaths, she shared a deeply emotional message on social media:
“For 27 years, spring has never bloomed for me. March 27 has burned my soul. I never knew how much strength and patience I had. Halim, Armend, and Ardian—I will not close my eyes until I see you beside the righteous, Edmond and Artan.”
Over the years, Ferdonije Qerkezi has turned her home into a memorial museum, dedicated to the victims of the war. It stands today as a powerful symbol of grief, resilience, and remembrance, preserving the memory of her loved ones and the painful history of her community.
