Kosovo’s former President Vjosa Osmani has expressed her support for a protest held in Skopje, voicing solidarity with Albanian students and the protection of the Albanian language in North Macedonia.
In a social media post accompanied by images from the demonstration, Osmani underscored her backing for the rights and concerns of the Albanian community.
“Supporting the students! Supporting the Albanian language! Supporting our brothers and sisters in North Macedonia, today and always!” she wrote.
Her statement comes amid growing attention to issues affecting Albanian-speaking communities in North Macedonia, where language rights and representation have remained key topics in public discourse.
Osmani’s message signals continued political and moral support from Kosovo’s leadership toward Albanians in the region, particularly in moments of civic mobilization such as the protest in Skopje.
