The United States has stopped active combat operations but remains “ready” in the Middle East, according to its Central Command.

In a video update, Admiral Brad Cooper stated that the U.S. has “ceased offensive operations in line with the ongoing ceasefire.”

“Iran has suffered a generational military setback,” Cooper said.

However, he emphasized that U.S. forces remain “present, vigilant, and ready if called upon” in the region, continuing to “stand shoulder to shoulder” with regional partners.
