Croatia’s Minister of Defense, Ivan Anusic, has responded to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic following his claims that a military alignment between Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo has complicated the regional security situation.
After a meeting with his Albanian counterpart, Ermal Nuka, Anušić stated that the trilateral declaration between Zagreb, Tirana, and Pristina aims to strengthen stability in Southeast Europe and deepen friendly relations.
The Croatian minister emphasized that the era when others dictated Croatia’s policies is over.
“In response to repeated questions regarding Serbia’s reaction, my answer remains the same the time when someone dictated to Croatia, now a sovereign state and a member of NATO and the European Union, what it should do and how it should shape its policies has passed. That time will never return,” Anušić wrote.
