A new proposal by Iran to the United States calls for resolving issues between the two countries within 30 days and aims to end the war rather than merely extend a ceasefire, according to Iranian state-linked media.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he was reviewing the new Iranian proposal but expressed doubts that it would lead to an agreement, according to RKS News.

The 14-point proposal seeks to bring the war to an end, rather than simply prolong the ceasefire.

The plan, presented as a counter to a nine-point proposal from the United States, also calls for Washington to lift sanctions on Iran, end the naval blockade, withdraw forces from the region, and halt all hostilities, including Israel’s operations in Lebanon.
