Përparim Rama, Mayor of Prishtina, has announced the winning designs for the Adem Jashari Memorial.
Rama stated that in Prishtina, the voice of Adem Jashari, the Legendary Commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), will “resonate forever.”

IN THE HEART OF KOSOVO, IN PRISHTINA, THE VOICE OF THE LEGENDARY COMMANDER ADEM JASHARI WILL RESONATE FOREVER!
The winning projects for the “Adem Jashari Memorial” have been announced. The first-place concept, selected by the professional evaluation commission, will come to life in Kosovo’s capital, carrying the immense national, historical, and emotional significance represented by the Legendary Commander and the historic Jashari family.
The memorial, titled “The Voice of Freedom” (Zâni i Lirisë), symbolizes the sound wave that defied fear, occupation, and death, securing Kosovo’s right to live in freedom.
Inspired by Adem Jashari’s immortal words:
“A pledge is a pledge; there is only one death in this life. And one good word.”
the memorial transforms his voice into an eternal symbol of freedom that will echo through time and space.
Because there are voices that never fade. They live on in the memory of a nation and in the heart of a free state.
