PRISTINA, July 31, 2026 – Kosovo Police have launched an investigation into suspected terrorism after an organization identifying itself as “Severna Brigada” allegedly issued death threats against public officials through social media.
According to the daily police report, the case has been registered under the criminal offense of “Commission of a Terrorist Offense.”
The incident was reported in the municipality of Zubin Potok and relates to threats allegedly published online on July 28, 2026.
“An organization identifying itself as the terrorist organization ‘Severna Brigada’ threatened institutional officials with death through a social media platform,” the Kosovo Police stated in their report.
Authorities confirmed that specialized police units have opened an investigation to determine the origin of the threats, identify those responsible, and assess any potential risks to targeted officials.
No information has yet been released regarding the identities of the officials who were threatened, nor have police disclosed details about the social media platform used or any suspects linked to the case.
The investigation remains ongoing.
