The Assembly of Kosovo will continue its constitutive session on Friday, with the election of the Assembly’s deputy speakers on the agenda.

According to the Directorate for Media and Public Relations, the session is scheduled to resume at 11:00 a.m. in the Assembly chamber.

The election of the deputy speakers was not completed during Wednesday’s continuation of the constitutive session, after lawmakers failed to reach an agreement on the voting procedure for the candidates.

Following the disagreement, newly elected Assembly Speaker Albulena Haxhiu decided to postpone the session until Friday.

The vote on the deputy speakers is expected to be another key step in completing the constitution of Kosovo’s new legislature.
