A long queue of vehicles has formed at the Brnjak border crossing as Serb residents of Kosovo travel to Serbia to participate in the early parliamentary elections.
According to local media in northern Kosovo, the queue stretches for several hundred metres, caused by the influx of citizens heading to polling stations.
Polling stations have been designated in Raška, Vranje, Kuršumlija and Tutin for voters from Kosovo’s municipalities. Voting began at 7:00 a.m. and is scheduled to end at 8:00 p.m.
Serb residents of Kosovo are casting their ballots in these cities because the authorities of the Republic of Kosovo have not permitted Serbia to organise elections within Kosovo’s territory since 2023.
