EU Declines to Comment on Recent Arrests by Serbia: Expects Movement Only with ID Cards

Two days ago, a person was arrested by Serbian authorities on suspicion of committing war crimes in May 1999 in Koshare.

The European Union has spoken on the matter, stating they do not comment on judicial procedures.

“We do not comment on ongoing investigations or judicial procedures,” said an EU spokesperson.

The EU also told Klankosova.tv that they expect Serbian authorities to respect the freedom of movement with ID cards only.

“The use of appropriate ID cards for freedom of movement between Kosovo and Serbia was facilitated in the EU-led dialogue. We expect this practice to be respected by all Serbian authorities,” said an EU spokesperson.
