Ukrainian anti-aircraft fighters have repelled new Russian drone and missile attacks in several regions on Sunday morning, the Ukrainian Air Force said.
“The enemy attacked with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 13 Shahed drones,” the Air Force wrote on Telegram.
According to her, 13 drones were shot down in Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava regions.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Telegram that its Iskander missile destroyed two Patriot anti-aircraft launchers and a Giraffe radar station in the village of Yuzhin in the Odesa region.
The Russian claim could not be independently verified.
On July 5, Russian troops dropped two bombs on the town of Selidove in eastern Donetsk region, killing at least five people and wounding eight others, according to the region’s military administration chief, Vadym Filashkin.
Also on Saturday, Ukraine’s Air Force said it repelled a wave of Russian drone attacks in 12 Ukrainian regions.
Russia launched a full invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
The West has taken harsh sanctions against it, while it is helping Ukraine with weapons.
Last month, the European Union also started negotiations for Ukraine’s membership in its ranks. /REL/
