Two remaining Kosovar teams in European competitions, Ballkani and Drita, will begin their third qualifying round matches in the UEFA Conference League tonight, reports Sinjali Sport.
Ballkani will play their first match of this round against Northern Irish champions Larne at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium in Pristina, which is available for the first time since its renovation.
Larne is not an unfamiliar team to Ballkani, as the two teams faced each other in the elimination rounds last season. The Kosovar team won both matches, home and away, with an aggregate score of 7-1.
If Ballkani advances past this round, they will qualify for the Conference League “play-off,” where they will face the loser of the Minsk-Lincoln duel.
Tonight’s match starts at 20:00.
Meanwhile, Drita will face KF Auda from Latvia in the third qualifying round of the competition. The Gjilan club will play their first leg away today starting at 17:00, with the return leg scheduled in Pristina one week later.
If the Kosovar team advances in this round, they will qualify for the “play-off,” where they will face the winner of the Brondby-Legia Warsaw duel.
