The U.S. Embassy in Kosovo has expressed gratitude to the people of Kosovo, as well as global partners, for standing by them in the face of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

“Today, Chargé d’Affaires Anu Prattipati joined a ceremony commemorating the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks. We are deeply grateful to the people of Kosovo and our partners around the world who have stood with us in the fight against terrorism, in defense of democracy, and in the pursuit of a just and peaceful world. We will never forget,” the embassy wrote.

Alongside Prattipati, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his deputy, Donika Gërvalla, attended the memorial.

Kurti stated that terrorism must be fought by everyone and requires the cooperation of “every state, every government, every actor and factor, every politician, every freedom-loving citizen who desires peace, democracy, human rights, political pluralism, and welfare, which does not discriminate against anyone.”

“The Republic of Kosovo stands with the United States of America on this day of remembrance, emphasizing our strong partnership, alliance, and friendship in every aspect, particularly in the fight against terrorism.”
